Our interview process caters to different methods of expert consultation depending on the requirement. The more prevalent ones include in-depth interviews(IDI), computer-assisted telephone interviews(CATI), computer-assisted personal interviews(CAWI), and focused group discussions(FGDs).

Each type of interview has its own merits, depending on the goals and resources of your project. For example, in-depth interviews are done in person with a one-on-one conversation between the interviewer and the interviewee. This allows for an in-depth exploration of the subject matter and gives you an opportunity to follow up on any information you can’t get from just reading a report or article. Computer-assisted Personal Interviews are done over the phone, but with a computer to record the answers and take notes on them.

Computer-assisted Telephonic Interviews are conducted over the phone, but it relies on a computer program to record the answers instead of taking notes by hand. Focused Group Discussion is similar to other group processes; however, in this case, there’s a moderator involved as well as a group of people gathered together who each have something to contribute. This type of interview is focused primarily toward information gathering rather than specific conclusions. It’s most useful when you’re trying to gather thoughts and opinions on a broad topic rather than explore one subject in depth with someone.
